A leading innovative company with a diverse consumer and industrial product portfolio is looking for a Senior Manager to manage the sourcing activities in Asia Pacific region.
They have businesses on each continent; their products are selling at international hypermarkets, speciality stores, and general merchandise retailers.
In collaboration with the global team, the newly created role will take the lead to define and implement the sourcing strategies across each product category. With your experience and relationship with suppliers / factories in South East Asia, you will be the key person to manage new suppliers’ identification and development in order to achieve an optimized supplier matrix.
In addition to the sourcing responsibility, you will oversee the day to day operation of supplier management, product development, merchandising, costing, contract terms and negotiation, quality and shipment with the support of the team.
Stepping up to this role, you must have at least 8 years of experience in category management with previous experience from a buying office. Your knowledge and experience in cutting and safety categories would lead to success in this role. A strong trade record of South East Asia sourcing and knowledge about US and European markets requirements.
Importantly, it is a role for candidates with mature, creative, numerical mindset, and project management competencies. A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering or supply chain is a must. Proficiency in English and Chinese, and traveling are required.
