Are you familiar with the Japanese market in the aviation industry?

We are seeking a seasoned Sales Manager to join a global aviation group in Japan. This role entails understanding the complex demands of various stakeholders in the civil aviation field.

Your responsibilities will include compiling, presenting, and driving sales forecasts for specific customers. You will carefully review and develop action plans to ensure that actual performance aligns with forecasts. Your negotiation skills will be put to the test as you develop bids and proposals that are legally compliant and commercially viable.

Identifying and managing opportunities is a crucial part of your role. You will focus on campaign sales such as spares, MRO, retrofits, modifications & upgrades, and non-key product lines, working tirelessly to promote and win new business.

Collaboration is crucial, and you will work closely with cross-functional team members to ensure customer satisfaction and maximum growth. Your role will often require extensive travel for sales and marketing activities, allowing you to develop the company's businesses while staying abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes.

In addition to customer-facing responsibilities, you will play a pivotal role in supporting other departments within the company, from logistics to finance. Your strong business acumen, excellent negotiating skills, and consultative selling approach will be invaluable in navigating the complexities of the aviation industry.

To be a successful candidate, you should have a degree in a relevant field and at least five years of experience in the aviation industry, with a preference for MRO/OEM experience. Proficiency in both Japanese and English is required, as well as proficiency in software tools such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PowerBI, and ERP (preferably Pentagon2000). Your ability to establish strategic relationships and drive business growth will be crucial for success in this role within the company.
