A well-established first aid kit company with a professional portfolio is looking for a Product Development and Sourcing Manager to manage the sourcing activities in the Asia Pacific region. They have business in each continent; their products are to be used in professional medical associations, and corporations as well as selling at pharmacies, international hypermarkets, speciality stores, and general merchandise retailers.

In collaboration with the global team, the newly created role will take the lead in defining and implementing the sourcing strategies for the product category. With your experience and relationship with suppliers/factories in Southeast Asia, you will be the key person to manage new suppliers’ identification and development to achieve an optimized supplier matrix.

In addition to the sourcing responsibility, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of suppliers’ management, product development, merchandising, costing, contract terms and negotiation, quality and shipment with the support of the team.

Stepping up to this role, you must be experienced in category management with previous experience from a buying office. Your knowledge and experience in first aid kit/emergency medical supplies categories would set your success in the role. A strong trade record of Southeast Asia sourcing and knowledge about US and European market requirements.

As importantly, it is a role for candidates with mature, creative, numerical mindsets and project management competencies. A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering or supply chain is a must. Proficiency in English and travelling are required.
